Terms of Service

These terms cover the WallpaperMachine website at wallpapermachine.app, accounts on it, and the Supporter purchase. WallpaperMachine (“we”, “us”) runs the site and makes the app. By creating an account or buying, you agree to these terms.

Paddle is our reseller

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Your purchase is also governed by the Paddle Buyer Terms. Prices are shown in your local currency and include sales tax or VAT where it applies.

The app and the free version

WallpaperMachine is open source. Anyone can build it from the source code on GitHub for free, under the license published in that repository. The signed, ready-to-run download is free as well. It is compiled from the same source and covered by the same license. That license, not these terms, governs the source code, the signed download, and anything you build from the source.

The Supporter purchase

Supporter is a one-time purchase, not a subscription. It includes:

• A sponsor place. Your name and picture on the sponsor wall on this website and on the sponsor list in the project README, if you want them shown. It is off until you turn it on in your account, where you choose the name and picture and can change or remove them at any time. We may remove names or pictures that are offensive, impersonate someone, or advertise.
• Priority support. Your questions about wallpaper compatibility and your feature requests are answered ahead of general requests. Open them on the supporter forum, where other Supporters can read and reply. We aim to reply quickly, but we don't promise a set response time, and a feature request is not a promise to build it.

WallpaperMachine runs on Macs with Apple silicon. Wallpaper Engine wallpapers vary, and not every wallpaper will work or look the same as it does on Windows. If the app doesn't work for you, our refund policy applies.

Your account

You need a free account to buy, so that your purchase stays linked to you. Give an email address you can receive mail at, keep your password to yourself, and tell us if you think someone else has used your account. We may suspend accounts used for fraud, abuse, or to attack the site. You can ask us to delete your account at any time.

Other people's content

WallpaperMachine is an independent project and is not affiliated with Wallpaper Engine or Valve. Wallpapers, including those from the Steam Workshop, belong to their creators. You are responsible for having the right to use the wallpapers you use.

No warranty and limits of liability

The app and the site are provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for Supporter. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer that can't be limited by contract.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. Changes don't apply retroactively to purchases you have already made.
